Wedding Cake
Around the world, wedding cakes are different, their way of being prepared and decorated.
In Japan, for example, is common to see candy made with artificial rubber that mimic ice cream wax. Some models come cake to produce even a cloud of steam.
The Koreans, meanwhile, believe that wedding cakes are too sweet to be eaten, so make steamed rice cakes, covered with red beans.
In China, the cakes are huge, and the layers will represent success for the couple. Tradition states that the bride and groom must cut the cake from the bottom up.
In Britain, the wedding cake is central, and usually, the cake is made with brandy-soaked dates, prunes, raisins and orange peel. The popular icings include marzipan, brandy cream or fondant.
In the Caribbean, the cakes are lighter, and is often used fruits. The cake is often dark and full of dried fruits and sherry, wine or rum.
The Germans mixed liquor or syrup on your cake, and fill it with jam, marzipan or nougat and covered with fondant or ganache.
The Ukrainian wedding used a bread known as Korovai, which decorated with designs representing eternity and the joining of two families.
